Group visit
Exploring Laarne Castle in a group is a great experience. You can even choose from different formulas. Group visits are possible by prior arrangement and subject to availability. Please note that the castle can be very cold in winter. A standard visit lasts about 1.5 hours and there are a lot of stairs to climb.

Group visit with the video guide WITCHES!
With the video guide HEKSEN! you explore the castle from top to bottom. Together with the priest Jan Schatteman (played by Ivan Pecnick) and the cleaning lady Josyne (played by Heidi De Grauwe), you will dive into the castle's past and learn all about the famous witches of Laarne.
Let yourself be taken back to one of the darkest episodes in the castle's history. Who were these alleged witches? How did it come to this? What was nagging at the vicar's conscience? And what is the secret of Josyne the cleaner?

Classic guided tour
Led by our expert guides, you will explore the castle from top to bottom: from the stately Knights' Hall to the old cellars, from the summer parlour to the kitchen, from the bedroom to the prison... In each room, you will discover a new episode in the fascinating history of the castle and its inhabitants. As the icing on the cake, you can admire the finest silver collection in the country.

Women's themed tour
On this tour, our guides will introduce you to the fascinating world of castle women, chambermaids, laundresses and cooks. Women from all centuries pass by. What was the age of marriage for girls in the Middle Ages? When did the image of the woman by the fireplace appear? What does Hélène Fourment have to do with Laarne? Why were women targeted during the frenzied persecution of witches in the 16th and 17th centuries? Our guides will lead you through all these women's issues as you wander through the rooms of the castle.

Guided tour for people with reduced mobility
Stairs are inevitably part of a castle, which can be challenging for some people. In order to give everyone the opportunity to visit the castle, we have developed a full and interactive tour that only includes the ground floor and the garden (fully accessible for wheelchair users).
