Beauvoorde Castle
Beauvoorde Castle probably dates back to the 12th century and was comprehensively rebuilt around the year 1600. It was Arthur Merghelynck, an eccentric member of the landed gentry, who gave this moated fortification its current allure.
Coach House
The castle's former coach house has been modelled as a charming banqueting hall. Boasting its magical outdoor terrace, it is a perfect location for receptions and family gatherings. It also forms a wonderful backdrop to corporate meetings seeking to impress.
The Coach House is no longer being rented out at the present time. Once the castle reopens its doors to the public, you will be most welcome back at the Coach House.
Park
Beauvoorde Castle is constructed on a slope in the centre of a large castle park of more than two hectares, with inner and outer ramparts. A bridge at the back of the park gives access to an orchard with various newly planted apple and pear trees. Be sure to take the time to wander through it. In the park you will recognise elements of both the banked English and the sleek French landscaping. The park is freely accessible.
