Heritage lab Damme

Bruges station is situated 8.5 kilometres from the Heritage Lab Damme. From the station you can take a flex bus to the Damme Centrum stop (see by tram/bus). The cycle point (where, among other things, the Blue bikes are parked) is located at the front of the station (on the Bruges centre side). Turn right immediately upon exiting the station, and 50 metres further on is the bike stand. You can cycle to Damme via the node network. From the station, cross the Bruges ring road and follow number 5 to Oostmeers. Route to the Heritage Lab Damme: 5 – 98 – 3 – 23 – 50 – 10 – 34 – 6 – 28.

The Damme Centrum stop of the Bruges Region flex area is within walking distance (350 metres) of the Heritage Lab Damme. You can book a flex ride via the Hoppin app or the Hoppin central office on 0800 12 2 12.

The Heritage Lab is located along the Brugse Ommeland bicycle node network between nodes 6 and 28. The signposted cycle routes Groene Gordel Brugge (Green Belt Bruges) and Verdwenen Zwinhavens (Vanished Zwin Ports) pass by the Heritage Lab Damme. The Kunststedenroute (Artistic Towns Route) and the Vlaanderenroute (Flanders Route) also run past the Heritage Lab.

Parking in Kerkstraat and, by extension, in the centre of Damme is subject to charges and regulations. From 1 March to 15 November, parking is charged between 10 am and midday and between 2 and 7 pm. Parking time is also limited to a maximum of 4.5 hours. These regulations apply from 16 November to 28 February (29 in leap years) on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays.  

Damme-Oost periphery parking at Oude Sluissedijk 6 is a 5-minute walk from the Heritage Lab Damme. You can park free of charge at this peripheral parking area for a whole day. There are also charging points for electric cars. GPS coordinates: 51.24, 3.28
